Run for fitness, run for charity, run for fun...just run!! There’s no pressure, just some easy moves and lots of laughs. It’s all about getting involved, having fun and enjoying the whole experience of the day. The events aren’t timed so what’s motivating Big Fun Runners is getting together with friends & family (under 5s run for FREE), doing something healthy, raising money for a worthwhile cause & enjoying the great outdoors.
Make your Big Fun Run entry really count by choosing to fundraise for one of our Affiliate Charities. They will really appreciate your support and will be on hand to inspire you with helpful fundraising tips and advice. And did you know that it’s now really easy to collect your sponsor money with JustGiving?

When you arrive, make your way to the start and finish area - look out for the Big Fun Run pyramid and you'll know you've reached the right place. Dress code is fun so wear whatever you like - fancy dress is always welcome however a comfortable pair of trainers is a must!
Our friendly event team will be there to welcome you and play some great tunes to get you in the mood for some fun.
Make sure that you arrive 15 minutes before the start to take part in the Big Fun Warm up - it will help you wake up and loosen off before you start your run, jog, walk, dance or whatever any other method of completing the 5k route you choose. The event is not timed so don't worry about rushing round.
There will be signage and marshals along the route to cheer you on and make sure no-one goes the wrong way.
Once you come through the finish line you will be greeted by our friendly MC and finish team who will give you a bottle of water, an event goody bag and your well deserved Big Fun Run medal. Remember your camera or phone and why not make your way to the Big Fun Run podium where you can take your picture along with anyone you've come with - if you're tweeting, we're tweeting! Give us a shout using #bigfunrun or join in the conversation at www.facebook.com/BigFunRun.
If you haven't entered yet, what are you waiting for?!

The run winds around the expansive parkland and takes advantage of the asphalt path throughout. The route climbs in the middle with the runner rewarded with views over Glasgow. At other times the course passes by the mixed parkland and ornamental gardens that have been a highlight of Glasgow’s Premier Public Park for over 100 years.
The start/finish area is located with the cycle track of Bellahouston Park which is located on the south/west side of the Park. Please note that the route may be subject to change.
This extensive park covers an area of 71 hectares (180 acres). It has many features and facilities to tempt visitors and local residents to its grounds. It boasts formal gardens and open parkland in which to relax and take in views over the city and beyond.
