Course Outline:
The run winds around the expansive parkland and takes advantage of the asphalt path throughout. The route climbs in the middle with the runner rewarded with views over Glasgow. At other times the course passes by the mixed parkland and ornamental gardens that have been a highlight of Glasgow’s Premier Public Park for over 100 years.
The start/finish area is located with the cycle track of Bellahouston Park which is located on the south/west side of the Park. The start/finish area will be indicated by a large inflatable archway. Please note that the route may be subject to change.



Area Description:
This extensive park covers an area of 71 hectares (180 acres). It has many features and facilities to tempt visitors and local residents to its grounds. It boasts formal gardens and open parkland in which to relax and take in views over the city and beyond.

Baggage:
Runners will be able to store baggage in a gazebo next to the start area, however there is no changing facility available.

Photographs:
A new feature for 2013 will be a Big Fun Run podium and backdrop where participants can pose for photographs after the event. This will be free of charge and you should bring your own camera/phone for this purpose. If you would like photographs of you on the course, please ask family or friends to take some for you.

In the interest of safety:
The Race Director and the Emergency Services reserve the right to stop the race at any time, if deemed necessary. These would be in circumstances beyond our control and no refunds would be given.

Further info:
There is no parking or vehicle access to Bellahouston Park. There is limited parking available by Moss Park Boulevard. Otherwise you may have to walk 10-15 minutes to the starting area so plan your journey accordingly. Pedestrian access is available via all entrances. Runners are encouraged to consider public transport or car sharing.
