Course Outline:
The run starts and finishes at the lake side lawn, located adjacent to the hotel and leisure centre on the west side of South Willen Lake. The run follows the tarred pathway that loops around the South and North Lake. The start/finish area will be indicated by a large inflatable archway. Please note that the route may be subject to change.
Area Description:
With the North Lake being a designated nature reserve, and an overall one hundred acres of water encircled by eighty acres of stunning landscaped grounds, Willen like boasts mile after mile of cycle ways and dozens of tranquil corners. An ideal venue for a scenic 5k.
Baggage:
Runners will be able to store baggage in a gazebo next to the start area, however there is no changing facility available.

Photographs:
A new feature for 2013 will be a Big Fun Run podium and backdrop where participants can pose for photographs after the event. This will be free of charge and you should bring your own camera/phone for this purpose. If you would like photographs of you on the course, please ask family or friends to take some for you.
In the interest of safety:
The Race Director and the Emergency Services reserve the right to stop the race at any time, if deemed necessary. These would be in circumstances beyond our control and no refunds would be given.
Further info:
Parking is available at Willen Lake. There is a charge for this parking. Otherwise you may have to walk 10-15 minutes to the starting area so plan your journey accordingly. Pedestrian access is available via all entrances. Runners are encouraged to consider public transport or car sharing.
