Course Outline:
The run is staged within the grounds of Rother Valley Country Park and incorporates a lap of both the North and South Lake. The route takes advantange of the gravelled pathways and tared roads. Participants will complete a beautifully scenic course with the majority of the route being on gravelled pathways. The start/finish area will be located towards the north of the park and will be indicated by a large inflatable archway. Please note that the route may be subject to change.

Area Description:
Rother Valley Country Park is on the borders of Yorkshire and Derbyshire, near the towns of Rotherham, Chesterfield and Worksop and the city of Sheffield. The 750 acre nature reserve and park hosts a number of walking and cycling routes,  boasts 5 lakes and has recorded sightings of over 260 different varieties of birds over the past two decades.

Baggage:
Runners will be able to store baggage in a gazebo next to the start area, however there is no changing facility available.

Photographs:
A new feature for 2013 will be a Big Fun Run podium and backdrop where participants can pose for photographs after the event. This will be free of charge and you should bring your own camera/phone for this purpose. If you would like photographs of you on the course, please ask family or friends to take some for you.

In the interest of safety:
The Race Director and the Emergency Services reserve the right to stop the race at any time, if deemed necessary. These would be in circumstances beyond our control and no refunds would be given.

Parking is available and will involve up to a 5 minute walk. Runners are encouraged to consider public transport or car sharing.
