BIG FUN RUN GLASGOW ROUTE
Make sure that you arrive 15 minutes before the start to take part in the Big Fun Warm up. The event is not timed so don’t worry about rushing round. There will be signage and marshals along the route to cheer you on and make sure no-one goes the wrong way. Once you come through the finish line you will be greeted by our friendly MC and finish team who will give you a bottle of water, an event goody bag and your well deserved Big Fun Run medal. Remember your camera or phone and why not make your way to the Big Fun Run podium where you can take your picture along with anyone you’ve come with. The run winds around the expansive parkland and takes advantage of the asphalt path throughout. The route climbs in the middle with the runner rewarded with views over Glasgow. At other times the course passes by the mixed parkland and ornamental gardens that have been a highlight of Glasgow’s Premier Public Park for over 100 years. The start/finish area is located with the cycle track of Bellahouston Park which is located on the south/west side of the Park. Please note that the route may be subject to change. This extensive park covers an area of 71 hectares (180 acres). It has many features and facilities to tempt visitors and local residents to its grounds. . The Big Fun Run Glasgow route remains on a tarmac path throughout and is suitable for wheelchair users. There is a hill that could prove difficult and therefore wheelchair users may require assistance to climb and descend. The hill takes in around 1km of the course (climb & descend).
